How to extend your home to create more Bedrooms

Work is underway on Albyn Architect's latest project, forming a 1st floor extension to a house in the West End of Aberdeen. Only 3.5 weeks into the project and the contractor has formed the new floor, roof and dormers.

The existing roof has been stripped at the front, to allow for new slates to be fitted. This allows a consistent appearance on the front, with the old slates reused on the rear elevation.

The extension will provide the house with 2 additional double bedrooms, with one En-Suite, and both with built in wardrobes. A new bay window is to be added to the ground floor, complete with granite, to match the existing. This will provide symmetry to the front elevation.
