How to Extend a New Build Home

Work is progressing on Albyn Architect's project in Portlethen, where we are forming a rear extension to create additional living space to this new build home.

The new living space is stepped down from the existing house, which will create a vast space with high ceilings. Tall windows and doors will let in lots of natural daylight, with the bi-fold doors leading out to a large paved terrace.

Groundworks have been completed, the timber kit and steelwork have been erected and the roof is in the process of being fitted.

A new dormer has been completed and looks like it should always have been there. This provides additional headroom in the 1st floor bedroom.
